Dr. Ginny Riga

Dr. Ginny Riga is a former public Montessori school principal. She has led and overseen the growth of public Montessori in South Carolina at the district and state levels between 2004 and 2019. As the first and only State Department leader for Montessori in the country, she oversaw program expansion with authenticity remaining as important as program growth. From 2011-2016, she was Montessori consultant to Furman University for the first ever longitudinal study researching outcomes in student academic growth and Montessori teacher job satisfaction in public schools. She is passionate about underserved populations having access to a free Montessori education.
