Dr. Charlotte Thomas

Dr. Charlotte Thomas is the Director of the Great Books Program and Professor of Philosophy at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. She specializes in the philosophy and culture of ancient Greece with an eye to the other central traditions of the axial age: Chinese, Indian, and Judaic. In the Philosophy Department, she teaches History of Ancient Philosophy, Human Nature and Art, and Introductory Ethics courses that include a significant service-learning component. Her book, “The Female Drama: The Philosophical Feminine in the Soul of Plato’s Republic,” was published by Mercer University Press in 2019
